Saturday 16th May Set on the stunning banks of the Ord River, the Kununurra Campdraft and Rodeo Association’s legendary event returns with raw power, high stakes, and edge-of-your-seat action. Watch fearless local and interstate cowboys and cowgirls take on barrels, broncs, bulls and bullocks in a wild ride to stay on for a heart-stopping 8 seconds or become the fastest drum runner in the East Kimberleys. With big prize money up for grabs, the competition’s fierce – but the fun doesn’t stop there. There’s live music, a fully licensed bar, plenty of food stalls, and entertainment for the whole family. Savour a bush tucker inspired lunch, then join Injiid Marlabu Calls Us — a two hour immersion featuring ancient healing rituals, generational tales and insights into Ngarinyin language and heritage. Sunday 17th May A vibrant new addition to the 2026 Boab Metals Ord Valley Muster, Colours of Country is a one-night celebration of East Kimberley art, music, fashion and food in Kununurra. Set in the Festival Hub at Celebrity Tree Park, the evening brings together leading regional artists, galleries and cultural practitioners, alongside live performances from Family Shoveller Band, Kankawa Nagarra and Saltwater Kin. Featuring artworks from Artopia Gallery, Artlandish, Halls Creek Women’s Hub, Kira Kiro Artists, Lisa Campbell, Taminga Connell, Tjarrambayi Arts, Waringarri Aboriginal Arts, Warmun Art Centre, Wyndham Arts Collective Hub and Yarlyil Arts, the program also includes bush food experiences with Blak Tapas and the striking Boonkaj II Collection fashion parade. Hosted by Wyndham artist and storyteller Molly Hunt, Colours of Country offers an immersive experience that captures the creativity, culture and spirit of the East Kimberley. Wed 20th & Thurs 21st May In partnership with award-winning Blak Tapas, Waringarri Aboriginal Arts invites you to a cultural journey. Your evening begins at the Waringarri Aboriginal Arts Centre. Take a tour of the oldest art centre in WA (Gold Medal winner at the 2024 WA Tourism Awards) and engage with our local Miriwoong tour guides. From there, we journey to our on-Country location. Transport is provided from Waringarri Aboriginal Arts. Where you'll receive a traditional welcome by a Miriwoong elder, followed by traditional dancing and storytelling, and a didgeridoo performance as you watch the Kimberley sunset. Taste bush tucker. Wednesday 20th May Spend an amazing day paddling the upper Ord River through the spectacular Carr-Boyd Ranges with a personal guide to safegaurd and enhance your journey, offering interpretation of this unique environment and knowledge of the river's secret places. The tour includes transfers from Kununurra for a lookout over Lake Argyle before you begin, all the equipment required plus is fully catered.
