The Gibb Challenge is an annual, socially competitive, team relay mountain bike event raising community awareness and funds for charity. It is a peerless outback cycling adventure, tracing the iconic Kimberley stock route of the Gibb River Road from the deep-water port town of Derby, through the vast pastoral leases of the central and east Kimberley and on to the community celebrations of the Boab Metals Ord Valley Muster in Kununurra.
Since the event’s inception in 2007, the challenge has raised more than $9M for our charity partners that have included WA Police Legacy, Ryan Marron Foundation, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Sirens of Silence and The Kyle Andrews Foundation.
Team places are strictly limited to enhance participant safety with 150 riders from every state and territory in Australia invited to enjoy a life defining Kimberley adventure with overnight camping and fellowship.

Your adventure begins with a self-drive to Doon Doon Station, where you’ll be welcomed with a bush-food-inspired morning tea and a warm introduction to Country.
From there, relax as you’re chauffeured in comfortable 4WD vehicles across stunning landscapes to a secluded beach and freshwater waterhole, a hidden gem known only to locals.
Here, you can cool off with a refreshing swim, try your luck at catching a fish, and join your guides on an easy-grade bush walk to learn about bush tucker and medicinal plants that have sustained the people of this Country for generations.
While you unwind by the water, you’ll be treated to a bush-food-inspired lunch, showcasing seasonal local ingredients and traditional flavours.
The adventure doesn’t end there as you will also be chauffeured to a scenic lookout to watch the sunset with complimentary canapes and drinks, surrounded by the breathtaking Kimberley landscape.
As dusk settles, you’ll make your way to the campsite, where you can freshen up before gathering around the campfire for dinner and storytelling beneath the stars.
When it’s time to rest, retreat to your comfortable glamping tent, designed to offer a relaxing and memorable overnight stay in the heart of Country.
In the morning, wake to a light continental-style breakfast including tea and coffee, ready for you to enjoy before your 9am departure.
This authentic experience blends cultural storytelling, nature, and hands-on activities, offering visitors a deeper connection to Country, traditions, and its people.

Set on the stunning banks of the Ord River, the Kununurra Campdraft and Rodeo Association’s legendary event returns with raw power, high stakes, and edge-of-your-seat action. Watch fearless local and interstate cowboys and cowgirls take on barrels, broncs, bulls and bullocks in a wild ride to stay on for a heart-stopping 8 seconds or become the fastest drum runner in the East Kimberleys.
With big prize money up for grabs, the competition’s fierce – but the fun doesn’t stop there. There’s live music, a fully licensed bar, plenty of food stalls, and entertainment for the whole family.
Free shuttle buses will be running throughout the event, so getting there is a breeze.

welcome, then regroup and return to your bus or private vehicle for a

Your local guide will share information about
Wyndham’s layered past, which is still visible today through its
landscapes, stories, and cultural practices.
The tour will include stops where guests may need to walk short
distances as the guide shares information and stories at these iconic
sites, including information about Aboriginal culture, gold rush days,
pastoral life, Afghan and Chinese influences, and WWII.
After the
tour, you will return to the Wyndham Collectives Art Hub where you will
indulge in a bush-infused two-course luncheon prepared and presented by
Zach Green, the renowned Storyteller Chef. A fashion parade celebrating
Wyndham’s cross-cultural history will follow lunch, as will the prizes
for Best Dressed + Door Draws!
The day concludes around 3:30 PM
with return transport to Kununurra. Self-drive and
Wyndham local guests can depart at their own pace after lunch and
festivities.

Guided by Kingfisher Tours’ local women and Gija Traditional Custodians, this journey celebrates the spirit, strength, and connection of women on Country. The two-day adventure follows the theme Bush Botanicals, embracing the colours, textures, and stories of the native plants that sustain and inspire life in the Kimberley.
As we travel together from Kununurra through the rugged beauty of the East Kimberley, we will meet and collaborate with Warmun artists and women, who will join us for a special Women’s Welcome to Country in the Bungle Bungles. This heartfelt ceremony offers a powerful moment of grounding, gratitude, and cultural exchange — an opportunity to connect deeply with the land and with each other.

Spend an amazing day paddling the upper Ord River through the spectacular Carr-Boyd Ranges with a personal guide to safegaurd and enhance your journey, offering interpretation of this unique environment and knowledge of the river's secret places.

From there, we journey to our on-Country location. Transport is provided from Waringarri Aboriginal Arts.

Your adventure
begins at 9:30 AM with comfortable bus transport from Kununurra (pick-up
at Lakeside and town). Sit back and enjoy onboard commentary as the
Kimberley stories come to life on the journey to Wyndham. Seats are
limited to 24 so book early!
Prefer to drive? Self-drive and
tag-along options are welcome, and Wyndham locals are encouraged to join.
Arrive
at the Wyndham Collectives Art Hub for a refreshing iced bush tea
welcome, then regroup and return to your bus or private vehicle for a
guided tour.
Your local guide will share information about
Wyndham’s layered past, which is still visible today through its
landscapes, stories, and cultural practices.
The tour will include stops where guests may need to walk short
distances as the guide shares information and stories at these iconic
sites, including information about Aboriginal culture, gold rush days,
pastoral life, Afghan and Chinese influences, and WWII.
After the
tour, you will return to the Wyndham Collectives Art Hub where you will
indulge in a bush-infused two-course luncheon prepared and presented by
Zach Green, the renowned Storyteller Chef. A fashion parade celebrating
Wyndham’s cross-cultural history will follow lunch, as will the prizes
for Best Dressed + Door Draws!
The day concludes around 3:30 PM
with return transport to Kununurra. Self-drive and
Wyndham local guests can depart at their own pace after lunch and
festivities.

Join us for a truly transformative experience — a women’s-only 4WD overnight safari into the heart of the Purnululu World Heritage–listed National Park.
Guided by Kingfisher Tours’ local women and Gija Traditional Custodians, this journey celebrates the spirit, strength, and connection of women on Country. The two-day adventure follows the theme Bush Botanicals, embracing the colours, textures, and stories of the native plants that sustain and inspire life in the Kimberley.
As we travel together from Kununurra through the rugged beauty of the East Kimberley, we will meet and collaborate with Warmun artists and women, who will join us for a special Women’s Welcome to Country in the Bungle Bungles. This heartfelt ceremony offers a powerful moment of grounding, gratitude, and cultural exchange — an opportunity to connect deeply with the land and with each other.
Around the campfire beneath a canopy of stars, stories are shared, laughter flows, and friendships form. It’s an experience that nourishes the soul — blending adventure, culture, and nature in one unforgettable journey.
This is more than a tour. It’s a celebration of womanhood, Country, and the living beauty of the Kimberley.

Spend an amazing day paddling the upper Ord River through the spectacular Carr-Boyd Ranges with a personal guide to safegaurd and enhance your journey, offering interpretation of this unique environment and knowledge of the river's secret places.
The tour includes transfers from Kununurra for a lookout over Lake Argyle before you begin, all the equipment required plus is fully catered. This tour will operate like the standard Eco-noeing day trip, but this guided and catered option is only available as part of the Ord Valley Muster.

Your evening begins at the Waringarri Aboriginal Arts Centre. Take a tour of the oldest art centre in WA (Gold Medal winner at the 2024 WA Tourism Awards) and engage with our local Miriwoong tour guides.
From there, we journey to our on-Country location. Transport is provided from Waringarri Aboriginal Arts.
Where you'll receive a traditional welcome by a Miriwoong elder, followed by traditional dancing and storytelling, and a didgeridoo performance as you watch the Kimberley sunset. Taste bush tucker. Enjoy a gourmet grazing spread prepared by the Indigenous-owned, Blak Tapas team, infused with native local flavours.
